After you have provided some background information on your chosen disease, you will need to discuss any recent research related to the treatment of the disease related to nutrition. This type of information is found in scholarly, or peer-reviewed, articles. To find these types of articles, you need to search in databases. The best databases for this assignment are listed below.

When searching in databases, you will type search terms related to your topic instead of typing a whole question.
Your question might be "How can nutrition be used to treat cystic fibrosis?"
You search terms would then be cystic fibrosis and nutrition.
It is also helpful to create a list of synonyms or related terms. This is because different authors may use different words to refer to similar topics. For example, you might include diet in addition to nutrition.
Adding an asterisk(*) to the end of words like diet or nutrition expands the search to include word variations:
diet* = diets, dietary, etc.
nutrition* = nutritional, etc.
You can also get more specific by including particular aspects of nutrition, such as proteins, vitamins, minerals, etc.
Once you have your list of search terms, you can start trying them in databases. Remember, research is often a process of trial and error, so don't get discouraged if you don't find good results right away. Adjust your search strategy and try again.
