Disease Background Information

For this assignment, you will first need to explain the basics of your chosen disease and the role of nutrition in the disease. In other words, you will be providing some background information before discussing recent research related to the treatment of the disease related to nutrition

Good sources of background information include:

  • Your textbook
  • "Research Starters" in the library's search tool, Fusion - these are encyclopedia-like articles that give a broad overview of a topic. This is the example for Cystic fibrosis. A one-page guide for Finding Research Starters in Fusion is available.
  • Credible websites - a few ideas are listed below.
