Program Purpose Statement and Goals
The education doctorate (EdD) with emphasis in nursing education develops educators to assume multiple leadership roles in a variety of settings. Graduate proficiencies will include scholarly inquiry and the utilization of innovative decision making based on current evidence to create proactive solutions to contemporary problems. Collaboration and planned partnerships are essential elements in maximizing educator effectiveness. The program provides learning opportunities that challenge students and promote achievement of their own potential.
