Using ZoteroBib

ZoteroBib is a free tool that can create citations and a bibliography instantly from any computer. You do not need to create an account or install any software. The tool is also ad-free and very easy to use! Follow this quick step-by-step guide to learn how to use ZoteroBib.

Go to the ZoteroBib homepage to get started.

In the "Cite" bar, enter the URL for a website, the ISBN of a book, the DOI or PMID number of an article, or the title of an article. Using the DOI or PMID is usually more efficient. The PMID is a unique identifier for citations in PubMed.

Once you've entered the identifying information, click on the "Cite" button. If the tool can locate your source, your bibliography will appear. Choose the citation style using the drop-down menu on the blue Bibliography bar.

Important: You are still responsible for checking the accuracy of the citations generated by ZoteroBib, as there may be errors, such as capitalization, the tool did not catch.

You can copy your bibliography to your computer's clipboard to paste it into an existing document. You can also download an RTF to save your bibliography as a separate document.
