On July 7, 2025, the library will be switching the tool that allows our users to access our resources. We will be switching from the tool EzProxy to OpenAthens. Included in this page are instructions to log in to OpenAthens, instructions to log in to EzProxy, and who to contact for help.
EzProxy will remain active until February 2026, and may still appear after July 8. If you reach this as a login option, please submit a ticket to the library with the information on where you found the link that went to the EzProxy page, so we can change it to the OpenAthens sign-in.
A window saying "Choose how to sign in" will open when you click a link to a Library resource (e-reserves, electronic books, journals, databases). There are three options to sign in.
Please read the instructions included to decide which sign-in option applies to you.
A login window for "EZProxy Library Access" will pop-up when you access a subscription-based Library resource (e-reserves, electronic books, journals, databases).
Enter your Bryan network username and password. Your network login is in the format of your 3initials3numbers and a password. It is not your student ID number or the login you use for Canvas.
Your password will expire every 90 days. If your password is expired, use the Change It tool to set a new one.
If you have additional questions or problems with your network username/password, call the Medical Center's IT Help Desk: 402-481-8960.

OpenAthens is a sign-in service that allows Bryan College of Health Sciences (BCHS) Library users to access our electronic resources, such as journals, articles, and eBooks.
OpenAthens is setup as Single-Sign-On (SSO), which allows users to sign-in with an existing service, reducing the number of usernames and passwords.
The BCHS Library has setup OpenAthens SSO in two ways.
